Shipping & Delivery
Last updated:
This page covers everything that happens between the moment you place a Cap Craze order and the moment the parcel lands at your door: how long we take to make your cap, where we deliver, what delivery costs (nothing), how long the trip takes and what to do if a parcel runs late or shows up crushed. It applies to every order placed on capcraze.shop. If something here is unclear, email support@capcraze.shop; we reply within 24 hours on business days.
The short version
- Making your order: 1-3 business days of processing before it leaves us.
- Delivery time: 7-14 business days in transit to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- Cost: free shipping on every order to those four countries, with no minimum spend and no coupon needed.
- Where from: every order ships from the USA.
- Where to: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand only.
- Problems: late, missing or damaged parcels are handled by email; we work with you until it is sorted.
1. Processing: what happens before your cap ships
Almost everything we sell is personalised, so your order is not just picked off a shelf. After your payment is confirmed, we read the text in your Order notes, match any logo or photo you sent by replying to your order confirmation email, make the cap or beanie and pack it. That takes 1-3 business days.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays. An order placed on Saturday morning starts processing on Monday. An order placed late on a Thursday may still be finished on Friday, but it is safer to count from the next business day when you are planning around a date.
Things that can slow processing down
- Missing personalisation. If a name design arrives with an empty Order notes box, we email you to ask what text you want. The clock starts again when you reply.
- A logo we cannot use. If a crew cap order is waiting on a logo file, or the file is a tiny screenshot that would look blurry, we ask for a better one before we start.
- Changes you request. Changes made within 24 hours of ordering (see Cancel or Change an Order) can push your processing start to the moment we confirm the change.
Because we use your text and files exactly as sent and there is no proof step, we do not hold orders waiting for an approval from you. That keeps processing short.
2. Where we deliver and what it costs
We deliver to four countries, and shipping to each of them is free. Checkout shows the free shipping method for addresses in those countries before you pay. Addresses anywhere else cannot be selected at checkout, because we do not ship there.
| Destination | Shipping cost | Processing | Transit time | Typical total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Free, no minimum | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| Canada | Free, no minimum | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| Australia | Free, no minimum | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| New Zealand | Free, no minimum | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
There is no threshold to reach and no code to enter. A single beanie ships free, and so does a box of twenty logo truckers for a landscaping crew. Delivery times are estimates, not guaranteed dates; weather, holidays and carrier volume can stretch them.
Shipping from the USA to Canada, Australia and New Zealand
Orders for Canada, Australia and New Zealand also ship from the USA and cross a border on the way. They usually arrive within the same 7-14 business day transit window, but customs checks can add a few days at busy times. Import duties and taxes, if any, depend on the destination country and its rules for low-value parcels. Cap Craze does not collect sales tax or import charges at checkout. If you are worried about charges for a larger order, email us before you buy and we will help you think it through.
3. Planning around a date
Caps are popular for days that do not move: Father’s Day, a golf outing, a reunion, a bachelor weekend, the first day of a new job. Use this simple rule: add up to 3 business days for processing and up to 14 business days for transit, then add a few days of buffer. In practice, that means ordering about three and a half to four weeks before the date.
| Your situation | Our suggestion |
|---|---|
| One name cap for a birthday in the US | Order at least 3 weeks ahead; 4 weeks is safer around holidays. |
| Twelve STAFF caps for a summer festival | Order 4 weeks ahead and send any logo the same day you check out. |
| A hole-in-one cap for a friend in Toronto | Order 4 weeks ahead to allow for the border crossing. |
| Matching beanies for a family in Auckland before Christmas | Order in early November; December is the busiest month for carriers. |
If you are tight on time, email us before you order. We will tell you honestly whether the date looks realistic. We cannot speed up the carrier, and we do not sell paid express shipping.
4. Tracking your parcel
When your parcel is handed to the carrier, we email the shipping details to the address you used at checkout, including tracking information whenever the carrier provides it. Tracking can take a day or two to show the first scan, so a blank tracking page right after the shipping email is normal.
You can also check the status of your order on our Order Tracking page with your order number and email address. If you have not had a shipping email after 3 business days, look in your spam or promotions folder first, then write to us.
5. Your address: get it right the first time
Most delivery problems start with the address. Before you pay, please check:
- the recipient’s full name, as it appears on the mailbox or door;
- apartment, unit or suite numbers;
- the ZIP code or postal code (Canadian postal codes have six characters; Australian and New Zealand postcodes have four);
- the country, especially if you are sending a gift to someone abroad.
Spotted a mistake? Email us as soon as possible. Within 24 hours of ordering we can change the address before production finishes. After the parcel ships, we can only ask the carrier whether a change is possible, and we cannot promise it. If a parcel comes back to us because of an incomplete or wrong address, we contact you to arrange a resend. We do not charge for a resend when the mistake was ours; if the address entered at checkout was wrong, write to us and we will work out the fairest option together.
6. Sending a cap as a gift
You can ship straight to the person you are buying for. Enter their name and address as the shipping address and your own details as the billing address. Your confirmation and shipping emails come to you, not to them, so the surprise stays safe. Our parcels do not include an invoice with prices on the outside. Please do not use the Order notes box for a message to the recipient: everything typed there is treated as text for the cap.
7. Orders with several caps
A family or crew order with several caps usually travels in one parcel. Occasionally, items in the same order ship separately because they are finished on different days. You never pay for a second shipment, and you receive shipping details for each parcel. If part of your order arrives and the rest has not, check your shipping emails first; the rest is often a day or two behind.
8. When a parcel runs late or seems lost
Carriers sometimes slow down, especially in November and December or during bad weather. If your parcel has not arrived by the end of the estimated window, or tracking has not moved for several days, email us with your order number. We check the shipment with the carrier and tell you what we find.
If the carrier cannot locate your parcel, we will work with you on a fair fix, which can be a replacement cap or a refund under our Refund Policy. Exactly how long we wait for the carrier before we treat a parcel as lost depends on the carrier’s own process, so we handle each case individually and keep you updated by email rather than leaving you to chase.
Tracking says delivered, but you cannot find it
Look around the property: porch, side door, garage, mailbox, behind plant pots. Ask neighbours and building reception, and check with your local post office. Many “missing” parcels turn up within a day. If yours does not, contact us and we will help you with the next steps.
9. If your cap arrives crushed or damaged
Caps travel well, but a heavy parcel stacked on top of a box can occasionally crush a crown, and a beanie can snag in transit. If anything arrives damaged, keep the packaging and take a few photos: the outside of the parcel, the shipping label and the problem on the cap. Email them to support@capcraze.shop. A gently dented trucker crown often pops back into shape from the inside, but you do not have to try; we will sort out a replacement or a refund with you. See the Returns & Exchanges Policy for how returns work.
10. Countries we do not ship to
Right now we ship only to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Checkout does not offer a shipping method for any other country, and we cannot send orders via forwarding addresses on your behalf. If you live elsewhere and want to send a cap to someone in one of our four countries, that works fine: just enter their address as the shipping address.
11. Packaging
Caps are packed so the crown keeps its shape as well as possible in a parcel, and beanies are folded flat. Packaging may vary from order to order. We keep it simple and do not add promotional inserts.
A quick checklist for a smooth delivery
- Type every name, date or line of text in the Order notes box before you pay, so processing can start straight away.
- Reply to your order confirmation email with any logo or photo on the same day you order.
- Double-check the shipping address, especially unit numbers and postal codes for Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- Count backwards from your date using up to 3 business days of processing plus up to 14 business days of transit.
- Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder) for the shipping email.
