Payment Methods
Last updated:
This page explains how paying for a Cap Craze order works: where you see the payment options, which currency you pay in, when you are charged, how your payment details are protected, what to do if a payment does not go through, and how refunds find their way back to you. If anything is unclear before you pay, email support@capcraze.shop and we will answer within 24 hours on business days.
Paying at a glance
- Where to see options: the payment options available for your order are shown at checkout, before you confirm.
- Currency: all prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Shipping: free to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so the cap price is what you pay.
- Sales tax: Cap Craze does not collect sales tax at checkout.
- Security: payment details are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Refunds: issued within 7 days of receiving your return, to the original payment method or as store credit.
1. Payment options
We keep this page honest: rather than listing logos here, we show the payment options that are actually available for your order on the checkout page. When you reach checkout, you will see each available option with its own instructions before you place the order. If no option suits you, do not place the order; email us and we will tell you what we can do.
We will never ask you to pay by gift card, wire transfer to a personal account, cryptocurrency or any method that is not shown on our checkout page. If someone asks you to pay for a Cap Craze order any other way, it is not us. Please forward the message to support@capcraze.shop.
2. Currency and what the total includes
All prices on capcraze.shop are in US dollars. If you pay from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your bank or payment provider converts the amount into your own currency at its exchange rate, and it may add its own foreign transaction fee. Cap Craze does not add a conversion fee.
| Part of the total | How it works at Cap Craze |
|---|---|
| Cap and beanie prices | The price shown on the product page for the colour and size you choose. Fitted golf caps in L/XL cost $2 more than S/M. |
| Personalisation | Included in the price. Typing a name in Order notes or sending a logo file costs nothing extra. |
| Shipping | Free to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with no minimum order. |
| Sales tax | Not collected by Cap Craze at checkout. |
| Import duties and taxes | Set by the destination country, if any apply; not part of our checkout total. |
3. When you are charged
You are charged when you place your order and the payment is confirmed. Your caps go into processing after that confirmation. If a payment is still pending (some payment methods take a moment to confirm), we wait until it is confirmed before making your caps, so a pending payment can shift the start of the 1-3 business day processing time.
If you cancel within 24 hours, or we cancel an order, the full amount is refunded within 7 days of the cancellation being confirmed. See Cancel or Change an Order.
4. How your payment details are protected
- The whole site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, shown by the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
- Payment details are entered with, or passed directly to, the payment provider that processes your payment. Cap Craze receives a confirmation and limited details (such as the payment type), never your full card number or your account password.
- We do not ask for card numbers or passwords by email, chat or phone. Never send them to us.
More about how we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
5. If your payment does not go through
A declined or failed payment is usually caused by something simple. Try these steps:
- Check that the billing address matches the one your bank or payment account has on file, including the ZIP or postal code.
- Check the expiry date and security code if you are entering card details.
- Ask your bank whether it blocked an international or online payment; some banks block the first payment to a new shop.
- Try another payment option shown at checkout.
A failed payment does not create a paid order, and your caps are not made until payment is confirmed. If you see a pending charge after a failed attempt, it is usually an authorisation hold that your bank releases on its own. If you are unsure whether an order went through, check your inbox for the order confirmation email or ask us.
6. Order checks
To protect customers and ourselves from fraud, we may occasionally ask a simple question about an order before we process it, for example to confirm a shipping address that does not match the billing details. We only ask by email from support@capcraze.shop and we never ask for your full card number. If we cannot confirm an order, we cancel it and refund the full amount within 7 days.
7. Crew, team and larger orders
Bigger orders, such as twelve STAFF caps or logo truckers for a whole company, are paid the same way as any other order, through checkout. Add all the caps you need to the cart, write the names and quantities in Order notes, pay at checkout and then reply to your order confirmation email with your logo file. If a change after ordering raises the total (for example two more caps for new hires within 24 hours), we email you the difference and how to pay it; we never charge you without asking. If a change lowers the total, we refund the difference within 7 days.
8. Sales tax and import charges
Cap Craze does not collect sales tax at checkout. Depending on where you live, you may have your own obligations under local tax rules; we cannot give tax advice. For deliveries to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, any import duties or taxes are decided by the destination country and are not collected by us. If you have questions about a large order to one of those countries, email us before you buy.
9. Store credit
When you return a cap, you can ask for store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method. Store credit never expires and can be used toward any future order. It cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it. If you are not sure how to use your credit, email us and we will help you apply it to your next order.
10. Refunds back to your payment method
Refunds go back to the method you paid with. We issue them within 7 days of receiving your return, or within 7 days of confirming a cancellation. After that, your bank or payment provider needs a little time to show the money on your statement. If the refund has not appeared a week after our confirmation email, contact us and we will send the transaction details. The full rules are in our Refund Policy.
11. Disputes and chargebacks
If you think you have been charged incorrectly, email us first. We can usually explain or fix a charge within a day or two, which is faster than a bank dispute. If you do open a dispute, we will respond to your bank with the order details and keep honouring our return and refund policies.
12. Keeping your account safe
- Use a strong, unique password for your Cap Craze account.
- Log out on shared computers.
- Be careful with emails asking you to “confirm payment” through a link. Our emails come from our own domain, and we never ask for passwords or card numbers.
- If you notice an order you did not place, email us straight away.
13. Common payment questions
Do I pay extra for personalisation?
No. Names, initials, dates and logos are part of the price shown on the product page.
Can I pay after I see a proof?
No. We do not send proofs, and orders are paid at checkout. You can change your text within 24 hours of ordering, and every cap can be returned within 60 days of delivery with a free return label.
Can I split a crew order into several payments?
Yes, by placing several separate orders. Each order is paid and shipped on its own, and shipping is free on every one.
Will I see a charge in a different currency?
We charge in US dollars. Your bank shows the converted amount in your own currency if it is different.
14. Receipts and order records
After you pay, the order confirmation email is your receipt. It lists every cap, colour and size, the text you wrote in Order notes, the shipping address and the total you paid in US dollars. If you created an account, the same details appear in your order history. Businesses ordering crew caps often need a record for their bookkeeping: the confirmation email can be printed or saved as a PDF from your email program. If you need the business name or a different billing name shown, enter it in the billing details at checkout, because we cannot change a receipt after the order is placed.
15. Price changes and price checks
Our prices can change from time to time, for example when a new colour or style is added. The price you pay is always the one shown in your cart at the moment you place the order. If the price of a cap drops after you buy it, the lower price does not apply to orders already placed; you can, however, return the cap within 60 days of delivery under our normal policy. We do not use “was” prices, countdown timers or fake sale badges.
16. Paying for a gift sent to another country
You can pay with your own details and send the cap to someone in the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Enter your billing address as normal and the recipient’s address as the shipping address. The price stays in US dollars, shipping stays free, and our parcels do not carry a price list on the outside. If the destination country charges any import duties or taxes, they are usually collected from the recipient by the carrier or customs; whether that happens depends on local rules for low-value parcels.
If you would rather the recipient does not see any order details at all, use your own email address at checkout; all order and shipping emails then come to you.
17. Questions about paying
Email support@capcraze.shop with your question and, if you have one, your order number. We reply within 24 hours on business days. You can also read our Terms of Service, visit the Help Center or browse the FAQs. Cap Craze, 210 W Illinois, New Baden, IL 62265, US.
